"How I live with Alopecia Areata"

I have had Alopecia Areata for the last 15 years. My Alopecia started when I was 10 years old, with one dime size patch. By the time I was 13, my hair loss had become so extreme, I was forced to wear a hairpiece. Going to school with Alopecia wasn't easy. Alopecia made me so depressed. When I was 16, I shared my story on the Tyra Banks show, and I attended my first National Alopecia Areata Foundation Conference which helped me to accept my Alopecia Areata. I attend the NAAF conference every year now, and I volunteer my time to help others with Alopecia.
